Edward prefers nearby Kings Langley Palace as his royal residence, and grants Berkhamsted Castle to Gaveston . Edward also secures for Gaveston a prestigious wedding to Margaret de Clare at Berkhamsted Castle.
Queen Isabella succeeds to the Manor of Berkhamsted.
