Old Berkhamsted Castle website retired
With the successful launch of our new website and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube), the time has come to retire the old castle web site which has seen many years’ valuable service.
The Trustees of Berkhamsted Castle Trust are extremely grateful to our primary research partner, Berkhamsted Local History and Museum Society, for permission to re-use content from the old site, and from the Society’s wider collection, in the production of our new web site. We would particularly like to thank Linda Rollitt, who produced and maintained the old site over many years, as well as other contributors to the old web site and visitors’ room information panels, such as Jenny Sherwood, Ann Nath, Percy Birtchnell, Jimmy Honour, Paul Dottridge, Ken Wallis and others, whose invaluable contributions form the foundations of our knowledge and understanding of the Castle.
