Martin Evening
The Trustees were very sad to hear that noted photographer and supporter of Berkhamsted Castle Trust, Martin Evening, passed away at the weekend after complications from his cancer illness. He was aged just 63, and leaves a wife and daughter.
Martin worked with the Trust during 2018 and 2019 for a period of about 18 months to photograph the Castle in a variety of weather conditions and seasons. His photographs form a key part of the visual presentation of the Castle on the Trust’s website, and have been used on calendars and Christmas cards to help raise money for the Trust.
Martin loved doing the Berkhamsted Castle project, and his skill and artistry shines out from every one of the beautiful photographs he took of our site. They are often complimented.

The Trustees pass on their deepest condolences to Martin’s family and friends at this most difficult of times. He will be sadly missed.
