The Battle of Rorke’s Drift Talk
Thursday 12th November, 6.30pm - 8pm, Ashridge House
There are still some places available at beautiful Ashridge House to hear Douglas Rattray, of Fugitives’ Drift Lodge, Rorke’s Drift, South Africa, talk about the legacy of his late father, historian David Rattray, whose name became synonymous with the interpretation of the Anglo-Zulu War.
Following his recent sold-out event at the Royal Geographical Society, in his fascinating talk “The Battle of Rorke’s Drift”, Doug examines one of the most dramatic battles of the Anglo-Zulu War, which were later made famous by the 1964 film Zulu, starring Stanley Baker and Michael Caine.
The evening is kindly supported by Ashridge House and all proceeds are being donated to Save Castle Fields.
We hope to see you there! Tickets are £25 per person. To reserve your seat and meet Douglas in person please email zulu1879talk@gmail.com.
