Chiltern Ridge Ultra Marathon

Last Saturday 18 April in some glorious spring sunshine, Runaway Racing's 2026

The Chiltern Ridge Ultra Marathon started at the Castle and continued on their 50km trail by first running up Castle Fields!  

Here’s some beautiful drone footage of them as they embark on the full ridge run. The route went on through Ashridge, Ivinghoe Beacon, Coombe Hill and Whiteleaf Hill, finishing at Hampden Meadow, Wendover.

Hertfordshire Health Walks

We received this lovely photo from a recent donor and supporter.

She told us, “I have walked over those fields for many years and as a Herts Health Walk volunteer, I know the pleasure our walkers have in accessing those lower slopes, particularly our more senior walkers.'
