Payroll Giving

On the subject of business support, the Benefact Group also gives every employee £200 a year to donate to the charity of their choice, and Castle Fields has already benefitted from two donations from this source.

Plus a generous donor, through the scheme Salary Charity Giving via the Charities Aid Foundation, has opted to deduct £150 a month from his salary for the next 10 months. At the same time, the employer is match funding the donation, resulting in a massive overall £3k boost to campaign funds.’

US Declaration of Independence – July 4th could yield US donors

The letter uses the hook of the 4th July and links to Magna Carta to encourage donations to us from across the pond.  There is a longer article which we would like to target magazine/periodical publishers with; if you have any US links who could help with this, or know of someone who could research the appropriate journals and their contact details, and then send the article to them and monitor responses, please hit reply and let us know.

Berkhamsted Cycling Club Donation

Following the success of their Spring Classic, Berkhamsted Cycling Club has donated the profits of £448.44 from the event to the Save Castle Fields campaign.

They said, “We are proud to be an active part of the Berkhamsted community. The Castle Fields campaign is a cause that is widely supported across the town, and we are glad to be able to contribute toward protecting this much loved local space. Thank you to everyone who rode, volunteered, and supported the event to make this donation possible.”
