Pleased to announce we have received our first legacy

We're delighted that Save Castle Fields has received its first legacy!

The supporter, who is also a Castle Steward said,

“I have been left a small legacy, which enables me to make a donation of £4992 (equal to 128 squares @£39 each), and with gift aid this will total £6240.  

My reasons for wanting to make a donation are that I feel very strongly that it is important to preserve our green spaces, save our history and help wildlife. Saving Castle Fields does all of this.”

We are really grateful for this and all donations, and so pleased that the Fields campaign remains at the top of people’s minds.

The 11th Berkhamsted Beer & Music Festival

Tonight’s comedy is sold out, but tickets are still available for tomorrow’s Beer & Music Festival from midday onwards. Cider, soft drinks and a wine / gin bar, plus food vendors are also available.  

The festival is just adjacent to Castle Fields and the Berkhamsted Castle stall will be at the Saturday event to help spread the word and take donations for the Fields. Look out for some of our volunteers pouring pints behind the bar too!

Berkhamsted Golf Club’s Donation to the Auction of Promises

Berkhamsted Golf Club have made two generous donations to our Auction of Promises.

A 4Ball voucher and also a 9 hole playing lesson with golf pro John.  Both of which will be entered into the auction during our fundraising Berkhamsted Ball this year on Saturday 31 October at Nash Hall, Berkhamsted School.

Ticket sales are now open to all for tables of 8 people @ £75pp which includes a 3 course meal, a band/dancing and an auction to be conducted by Eric Knowles and John Bly, both past experts on BBC’s Antiques Roadshow.
